Have you ever placed yourself in situation wherein you just realize, “What the hell am I doing here?”

I have. Haha.

I went there, feeling oh so confident. I wasn’t really humiliated. But it was just a pair of shoes that wasn’t really the right fit for me.

It was just me seeing that, I was not meant to be there or at the very least I just didn’t belong there. When I was able to get myself out of the situation, I just found it to be plain funny! I mean, it was my fault anyway, I went there thinking I could actually pull-it off. But after a few tests, I heard myself saying, “What the hell am I doing here?” Hahahaha!

I was able to find my graceful exit anyway. Hehe. And what the hell right? After everything, I just said “Oh well!”, and shopped the day away! Hahaha!

At least, I was still wearing something fabulous! Hahahaahah! Oh, why am I so giddy?! Hehe.

Lately, I find myself going back to specific eras for fashion themes. When I open my closet, pieces like this dress would stand out because it looks like it came from a specific era.

Or I would find plain, modern dresses and be able to twist it into something more retro. This is me being costume-y again. Haha. I really think I wear clothes like a costume. Haha.

Hmmm.. I really think I’m into headbands lately. But I haven’t made the debut of wearing a headband here at the office. Haha. Maybe, if I have more time in the morning.

Hmm… I wish I can find something for a 1920’s look! Haha.

Glamorous, Glamorous, Glamorous.

I really like the glammed-up fashion statements of all the eras that have come and gone.

who cried a river and drowned the whole world! (haha, this has been in my head since yesterday. hehe)

Once a lady ventured into something unsure. She stood still and waited for everything to unfold.

She took a step forward and she took a step backward.

She saw, she heard, she smelled, she touched, she tasted.

She walked, she talked, experienced both the familiar and the unknown. She flew, she pranced, she danced, she sang.

It rained, it poured, it was sunny, it was humid.

She woke up and slept, laughed and wept.

She continued walking, talking, laughing, crying.

She bids you hello and she bids you farewell. Nope, she bids you, “See you around.”

Tata!

Yep! I’m back! I’ve been trying to rest the past few days and the sick version of me isn’t at all fabulous (hehe), so, I decided: No photos. Hahahaha. Oh, the vanity!

Anyway!!!! I finally wore my Juan booties! I wore this to Chikka’s Movie Fund Raising Blocked Showing of  Transformers. Great great movie by the way!

* While everything around me is a blur, I try to keep myself clear *

* Everything is moving too fast. The world is spinning out of control. *

* And I try to stand still as I hold my place–not wanting to fade away. *

Been having one hell of a week! Gahd. The effort.

Forgive the pics, I took this in a different time of the day. And I was hurrying the editing (I fell asleep hehe. I am actually a little giddy while writing this down).

When I was told by my officemates, that I looked Roman-ish when I wore this, I thought, moods do influence the way I dress, I didn’t realize that sometimes, I do wear stuff in a theme– like a costume of some sort.

I do love costume parties! Oh, do I miss those days! I’d totally dress up in a specific theme or character. “Themed Dressing”, I guess, is part of my nature. Could it be the theatre background?

I do love costumes, conceptualizing them, looking for them, re-creating them. I guess when my emotions or mood are just to vague (or when I’m just pretty bored with my life, hehe), I do dress up in a “costume” and live in it for a day.

It IS fun! Clothes or rather our own fashion style/statement do influence how one walks, talks, and feels. Themed or Costume-y, I think we should just be able to determine, if it’s just inspired by a specific era or character OR when you’re already looking like a kid going to a Hallooween Ball?

The things we discover. hehe. Hmm… I wonder if I have stuff that can be Greek-inspired…

There are rare moments when you find yourself not doing anything at all. During these rare moments, you find yourself with options: do i sleep? pick up on an old project? or just sit and stare?

I chose the staring part. It’s weird. When it’s all quiet and you have nothing to worry about and you pause. Then thoughts come in your head and you start to think of things–things that you never had the time to dwell on.

When you decide to walk away,

would you look back?

Is there such a thing as going back?

Tsk. Tsk. Idle time is bad. It makes you think of things that you normally wouldn’t think of. Hehe.

Just when it was declared here that Summer was over, Summer came back. And oh, the heat! ayayay!

Well, everything is just a door of opportunity, right? Anyway, I took this chance to wear this tube dress. Who knows, Summer might be suddenly over again tomorrow. Haha.

* One step at a time …*

* …there’s no need to rush *

*until you find a reason why..*

That song (in italics) is just stuck in my head but I don’t know who sang it or where I heard it. Sounds apt, though.

Definitely feeling much, much better! 🙂

The sun comes up and the rain pours down. We all walk around amidst all the changes that life brings us.

I never really dreamt of travelling the world when I was a kid. I was satisfied with staying put. But one thing I learned is that, as my friend Kia always tells me, Change is the only Constant thing in the world.

Recently, as I travelled to another country (after 20 years) with my friends, I now have the desire to travel the world. Well, I plan to see Southeast Asia first. I think countries in the Southeast Asia region are very much Oriental in general.

We constantly walk and experience something different everyday even though at times we feel this isn’t the case.

It interests me on how cultures are very different in detail but the general truths in life hold true for everyone. I really do want to see the world and experience everything that I can. (haha. This life plan talk last Friday really got me to thinking. Tsk tsk, Nante. haha.)

People come and people go. Everyone does at one point.

I am so excited to fulfill this traveling agenda. Hehe. And I will definitely pursue it. First stop, Malaysia, next stop Bangkok. *wishing!*

Oh! and I LOVE this umbrella!

This is the second time that I wore this dress. Although, when I first wore it (at premiere), I paired it with brown belt, shoes and bag. Black works too! 🙂

It’s actually hard to wear it here in this country because the fabric is thick. But, oh well, I love it!

*Since the weather’s cool lately, I grabbed the opportunity and wore this dress.*

* Oops! *

* Dior eh? I wish!.*

During the premiere, I was asked, “Nice Dress, Dior?”. Hahaha! I wish!!! But thanks anyway. 😛

This has been in my closet since Christmas of last year. I bought for the print and yet I didn’t have the guts to wear it up until last week. It’s not something so edgy, it’s just a Maxi Dress. Nevertheless, it’s not something I would wear. It’s a first for me! 🙂

*It starts with innocence, a birth of a new Being…*

*And then it learns, it leaves, it wanders around, learning everything it could..*

*Then it’s done. And it rests again but never the same as what it was when it started. *

Clothes really make you feel different, doesn’t it?
