I am sorry for the long absence, I had ugly allergies and well, I’ve been doing a lot of things lately. Anyway, recent events made me realize things and really, really made me feel so happy!

It’s really those little things that make my heart flutter. This blog was created with no intention of anything. Friends just pushed me to show the outfits that I create or wear. I am no high-fashion-girl nor am I an expert at fashion. There are still a lot of things that I haven’t worn or even know. I just wear things as they come to my imagination. This blog’s first year anniversary is about to come! I cannot believe it. And I thank those who read it and wait for an entry.

Another new addition to my wardrobe is this skirt, given to me by a good friend as a gift.

Anywho, back to my musings. Fashion is all about influence and your own creativity. Although greatly influenced by the environment you walk on, the people you go out with and what’s available out there, your fashion is YOU and no one else’s.

For me, fashion is something personal and it reveals something about the person wearing it. So, when people compliment or as ask about the clothes that I wear, it really, really makes my heart flutter.

It feels good that people appreciate what I wear and moreover, I am overwhelmed by those that approach me telling me about references towards this blog and well, by the number of people that visit it. It’s not much but still, thank you so much.

In Filipino, the term is, “nakakataba ng puso”. I don’t really know the exact English translation of that. Sometimes, translating something loses its core meaning.

I look forward to my first year! Hope you do too!

Wow! What a mushy post!

Everything is just starting to sink in– the thing about changing your lifestyle and spinning it to the opposite direction is that, well, you gotta change almost everything. I realized that ever since I was out of the 8-5 job, I re-arranged the furniture at my pad and now, half of my clothes, I can’t seem to wear anymore. It’s not the size, nor the “fad” factor. It’s just that, it’s not applicable anymore. I find myself looking inside my closet and it seems empty because (almost) nothing in it is something I want to wear, anymore. Or I find myself pairing things that I would not even dare wear to work, because it’s too laid back.

I must say, it took awhile for me to see this or rather, accept it? Haha. I always have a hard time letting go of my clothes, my shoes and my bags. I guess the classic ones I keep, just in case.

It hit me recently, when after a long, long time, I found myself splurging for new and different clothes and the whole shebang. I need to save up and begin the year with new stuff that apply more to me or to my current lifestyle. The good thing, it’s an excuse to shop. Hahaha! The down side, well, we all know the down side.

By the way, I wore this 2-3 weeks ago, when 2 friends invited me to judge a play. Haha. I found the experience really nice. Being with students really, really, makes you feel like you’re one (again). It was my first time to judge a school play or any play for that matter. 😛

Oh, and I really love this top! I like the twist detail!

Happy New Year! To a great year and to new beginnings! Cheers!

Lately, I have been grabbing all the opportunities that come my way. But most of them never push through. I’m wondering, how come? Or why?

I do believe in fate. So are these opportunities just trying to make me see something? But I’m really not meant for them? Or is there something better for me? Hmmm… really makes me think.

Anyway, although, it does make me think about things and myself, I do not allow it to bother me that much. Hey, the show must go on right?

ANYWAYYYYY, the dress was a gift. I’ve been meaning to wear it but I couldn’t find the right occassion up until yesterday. 🙂 love it 🙂

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been very, very busy. 😦 *sigh* Oh well, got new shoezies!

And YES, after my fling with VNC, which produced 9 pairs of shoes, it was Charles and Keith that saved me from a very important meeting.

It was stormy and I didn’t want any of my shoes to get soaked so I decided to wear slippers. And yet, I NEEDED a pair of heels! What’s a girl to do? BUY ONE!

I got drenched and rummaged through the mall (as I only had around 45 minutes to search for a pair). I went to all the usual brands- Cinderella, Dept. Stores, Mendrez, VNC, Le Donne, Celine, CMG, Aldo and yet, when it counted, it was still Charles and Keith which gave me a pair worth buying.

Isn’t it just adorable? I love the buckle, the color, the heels and everything about it.

*Charles & Keith is LOVE.*

*When it counted the most, Charles was there. 🙂 *

First of all, I’d like to thank my sponsor, Kia, for giving me this wonderful dress. Hahahaha!

During one of our Rummage Sale, while I was helping Kia sort out her stuff, I could not believe she was throwing it out! So I rescued the dress and took it home with me. I immediately knew what to do with it.

It IS bigger but with just a little adjustments here and there, its size created such a poofy, poofy skirt silhoutte—which I really, really love!

It also feels and looks like one of those classic 80’s dresses which I think I saw my mom wear in one of our photos.

I love this dress!! Only goes to show that another person’s trash can be another person’s treasure. 😉

Pardon the abundant photos— I really enjoyed taking pics of this one. 🙂

who cried a river and drowned the whole world! (haha, this has been in my head since yesterday. hehe)

Once a lady ventured into something unsure. She stood still and waited for everything to unfold.

She took a step forward and she took a step backward.

She saw, she heard, she smelled, she touched, she tasted.

She walked, she talked, experienced both the familiar and the unknown. She flew, she pranced, she danced, she sang.

It rained, it poured, it was sunny, it was humid.

She woke up and slept, laughed and wept.

She continued walking, talking, laughing, crying.

She bids you hello and she bids you farewell. Nope, she bids you, “See you around.”

Tata!

This was only one show. But I am already okay with one show. At least for this year that is. First-timer, I won’t deny it. Hehe. I was like a little girl on Christmas Eve. I was just so giddy! (Thank you again, Jeffie and Pao Pao for the invites!)

*This is me trying to take shots of the show. But i couldn’t*

I was just in awe and before you know it, it was done. So, boo. No great photos during the night. Hehe.

*Watched Marlon Rivera’s show with Pao and my brother. 🙂 *

Met the nicest people, Jeff and his friends are sooo funny and nice. Saw Rica with her officemates, Nante with his officemates, Sir Ron Capinding and my brother introduced me to Mr. Frederick Peralta!!! Wow. Just wow. And as though things couldn’t just get better, we capped the night off with a fabulous and delicious meal at Sugi with Marc. Oh, such a great joy!

*This was actually my plan B outfit*

Although I was not able to wear what I originally intended to wear, I think the plan B outfit worked well. Most asked me why I wasn’t in a dress. haha. Well, I’m not predictable! Hahaha.

My main point, is that I would wear this pair of shoes no matter what. So, it worked out well. hehe.

This is one night to definitely remember!

Just when it was declared here that Summer was over, Summer came back. And oh, the heat! ayayay!

Well, everything is just a door of opportunity, right? Anyway, I took this chance to wear this tube dress. Who knows, Summer might be suddenly over again tomorrow. Haha.

* One step at a time …*

* …there’s no need to rush *

*until you find a reason why..*

That song (in italics) is just stuck in my head but I don’t know who sang it or where I heard it. Sounds apt, though.

Definitely feeling much, much better! 🙂

Actually, the weather is just confusing! Last week, when I woke up, the sun was suddenly gone and weather reports announced a storm passing by Manila and North Luzon. But then there were moments that were sunny. Confusing, confusing weather.

I do love the rainy weather (too) because it gives me a reason to pull-out the trenches and layer, layer, layer. Had I worn this with boots and a black trench, I could claim it as channeling Kate Moss, but for this one, maybe, just a semi-Kate Moss.

The glasses on the other hand is very old. It was actually my dad’s which we just found by accident in my mom’s drawer as she was cleaning up the entire house. Yes, my father was as thin as I was and so the glasses fit me perfectly.

I saw photos of my mom and dad when they were about college students and man, they were both so thin! My mom was actually thinner than I was!

*Kudos to Dad for owning such a wonderful pair of aviators!*

It’s such a great find isn’t it? I wonder how it looked like when my father wore it because I remember my mom’s face lighting up and transforming into this dreamy state when she saw this pair (after a loooong time now). Haha.

This is the second time that I wore this dress. Although, when I first wore it (at premiere), I paired it with brown belt, shoes and bag. Black works too! 🙂

It’s actually hard to wear it here in this country because the fabric is thick. But, oh well, I love it!

*Since the weather’s cool lately, I grabbed the opportunity and wore this dress.*

* Oops! *

* Dior eh? I wish!.*

During the premiere, I was asked, “Nice Dress, Dior?”. Hahaha! I wish!!! But thanks anyway. 😛
