It is soooooo hot! Summer has landed! Time to keep those jackets in a box and bring out all the shorts and tank tops. I love summer as much as I love the rainy season. During summer I get to wear those tank tops and shorts the way they are supposed to be worn without feeling cold. No layers to hide ’em!
It’s time to hit the beach or the pool, whichever you choose. Another thing that I love about summer is that I get to ride boats going fabulous beaches where you can just slow down, think about nothing and relax underneath the sun or walk around the shoreline with just the moon and stars as your guide. An advantage of living in a tropical country, you can never run out of beaches to go to! So, since, I’ve been itching to leave and take a break, I thought I’d welcome summer with a navy-inspired outfit.
I can’t take my mind of the road trip, the wind, the sea, the sand and all that jazz. I can’t wait!!! Vacations are sort of an escape. More than the family vacation, I’m thinking of trying to travel alone this summer. I’ve never done that…Maybe, this year is the year to do it.
Just pack-up and go!

Since this is what I wore to one of my most memorable Christmas Parties of this year (and since, I’ve been wanting a Greek inspired outfit for the longest time), I decided to post this as my Yuletide outfit. Or as Ancient Greece would have it, the Winter Solstice.
I’ve always loved Christmas, from the parties, reunions – awkward ones and the happy ones, gift-shopping, gift-giving and all that, oh-so-yummy food. This year’s Christmas seem to have more depth than the past Christmases that I’ve had, or am I just maturing? Or was it the roller-coaster ride year that is, 2009?
I must say, there were a lot of changes and trials this year and I am thankful for those who helped me and for surviving all of them. Needless to say, for what it’s worth, I am still thankful for everything. I know for a fact that I learned a lot.
Oh! This is one of the effects of the year ending. I get to recount everything that went good and bad the past year. So that when the new year comes, I am able to set new goals for myself.
To more great finds, great clothes, great eras, great themes, great shoes, to the year that has passed us and to a whole, new, roller-coaster 2010, CHEERS!
I now bid all of you a Great Yuletide Season and a Wonderful New Year! Thank you all and see you all next year! 😀

There are rare moments when you find yourself not doing anything at all. During these rare moments, you find yourself with options: do i sleep? pick up on an old project? or just sit and stare?
I chose the staring part. It’s weird. When it’s all quiet and you have nothing to worry about and you pause. Then thoughts come in your head and you start to think of things–things that you never had the time to dwell on.
When you decide to walk away,
would you look back?
Is there such a thing as going back?
Tsk. Tsk. Idle time is bad. It makes you think of things that you normally wouldn’t think of. Hehe.

Actually, the weather is just confusing! Last week, when I woke up, the sun was suddenly gone and weather reports announced a storm passing by Manila and North Luzon. But then there were moments that were sunny. Confusing, confusing weather.
I do love the rainy weather (too) because it gives me a reason to pull-out the trenches and layer, layer, layer. Had I worn this with boots and a black trench, I could claim it as channeling Kate Moss, but for this one, maybe, just a semi-Kate Moss.
The glasses on the other hand is very old. It was actually my dad’s which we just found by accident in my mom’s drawer as she was cleaning up the entire house. Yes, my father was as thin as I was and so the glasses fit me perfectly.
I saw photos of my mom and dad when they were about college students and man, they were both so thin! My mom was actually thinner than I was!
*Kudos to Dad for owning such a wonderful pair of aviators!*
It’s such a great find isn’t it? I wonder how it looked like when my father wore it because I remember my mom’s face lighting up and transforming into this dreamy state when she saw this pair (after a loooong time now). Haha.

Last Saturday, I found myself wearing the same piece of clothing in different colors and different events. When I like a particular piece, I buy them in 2-3 colors. Hehe.
Anyway, I wore the white ensemble during the day as I set about my mall duties. 🙂 (ooh! and I was actually able to buy a cute little dress. But more on that on the next post).
When I got home, Rica called me up asking if we can have a girls night out clubbing. Being in a rush, I slipped into the black version of the dress.
So, we were meeting up at Kia’s pad, when I arrived there, I was stunned and confused as Matts revealed a cake and everybody sang me a happy birthday. Aww. 🙂 The party was a casino themed one because I REALLY like to go to a casino! Hehe. Poker. Chips and liquor slushies.
Snagged this photo from Kia:
Thanks so much guys!!! ❤
