If I were in your shoes, I would get confused too
If I were in your shoes, I would be happy at times and I would be sad at times too
If I were in your shoes, I would lash out too
If I were in your shoes, I would want to leave and stay at the same time too
If I were in your shoes, I would love and hate myself too
But I can never be in your shoes.
All I can do is imagine how you feel
All I can do is try to understand why you do the things that you do
All I can do is promise that when you return, you still have a family to go home to
and all I can do is pray and hope that you will get better soon.

This past week, I met up with my old officemates and I must say, one thing I miss about working in retail (more than the free clothes) is wearing power outfits. Since, I left, my style changed because of my current job and just a whole lot of changes in my environment as well. There are just times when I miss the style side of the corporate world or just the plain and different attitude you have when you power dress.
I don’t know but masculine outfits really look sophisticated and sexy on a woman. Sorry for the bias, men. Haha. But don’t you just agree? It brings out an aggressive and confident attitude that says, “I mean business.” And sometimes, or well, more often than not, in the corporate world, you kind of need that confidence to be able to step up and be noticed.
I really want that white, tailored suit that they wear on the red carpet. It’s just hard to find one and well, wear it here on a normal day. I guess this is just a step closer in quenching that frustration of mine.
I had a great time seeing the world that I left behind. I felt no regrets at all. I just miss the people I used to work with. They’ve evolve into my friends. Well, not all. But you know what I mean. I hope we get to hang-out and just catch up more often.

I am sorry for the long absence, I had ugly allergies and well, I’ve been doing a lot of things lately. Anyway, recent events made me realize things and really, really made me feel so happy!
It’s really those little things that make my heart flutter. This blog was created with no intention of anything. Friends just pushed me to show the outfits that I create or wear. I am no high-fashion-girl nor am I an expert at fashion. There are still a lot of things that I haven’t worn or even know. I just wear things as they come to my imagination. This blog’s first year anniversary is about to come! I cannot believe it. And I thank those who read it and wait for an entry.
Another new addition to my wardrobe is this skirt, given to me by a good friend as a gift.
Anywho, back to my musings. Fashion is all about influence and your own creativity. Although greatly influenced by the environment you walk on, the people you go out with and what’s available out there, your fashion is YOU and no one else’s.
For me, fashion is something personal and it reveals something about the person wearing it. So, when people compliment or as ask about the clothes that I wear, it really, really makes my heart flutter.
It feels good that people appreciate what I wear and moreover, I am overwhelmed by those that approach me telling me about references towards this blog and well, by the number of people that visit it. It’s not much but still, thank you so much.
In Filipino, the term is, “nakakataba ng puso”. I don’t really know the exact English translation of that. Sometimes, translating something loses its core meaning.
I look forward to my first year! Hope you do too!
Wow! What a mushy post!

YOU!!! Baby!!!! Hahahaha!!! And so the consequences of the resignation have started. Sorry for being gone for more than a month! I have been adjusting to the new lifestyle and the lack of some things. Hehe.
And since I cannot shop until December comes… Let me frustrate you as well. I drool over the things I stumble upon the internet.
Websites are evil temptations! Haha!
I remember having a conversation with a friend wherein he asked me if I wanted his Tita to buy me shoes as she was going to the US. I politely declined because I want to buy MY shoes. Not because I was territorial or anything but mainly, for me, the best part in buying shoes (or anything for that matter) was the experience of getting into the store, walking through all the racks picking out the things that tickle my taste buds, asking the sales person to get me the sizes and colors of the shoes that I desire, fitting them one by one and picking out the best pairs, falling in love with these pairs, hearing that register print my receipt, carrying the paper bags home, opening them and breaking them in.
We also talked about how some wear shoes that aren’t right, so these Principles of mine came out in the conversation.
SFF’s 10 Principles of Footwear
1. If it’s a size smaller or bigger, no matter how gorgeous it is, put it back and let it go.
2. If you can’t imagine an outfit existing inside your closet that will match it, DO NOT buy it.
3. Invest on classic pieces – it’ll be very much worth all the money you spent for it.
4. Don’t spend to much on seasonal or “trend” shoes, they will NEVER come back in the same way.
5. Don’t buy shoes you can barely walk in – rather than looking good, you end up looking, well, having a weird limp.
6. Always have a classic black pair and a nude one – these go with anything.
7. Never leave a pair unused for more than 3 months, it’ll be brittle and useless (and heart-breaking).
8. If it gets soiled, clean it IMMEDIATELY. But make sure you clean it the right way.
9. As much as possible, AVOID buying the last pair.
10. Clean out your shoe closet at least once a year. By “clean-out”, I mean, get rid of the pairs that you haven’t worn for more than 3 months.
That’s it so far. I bet this list can still go on. These are just my own basic principles for my shoes.

Lately, I have been grabbing all the opportunities that come my way. But most of them never push through. I’m wondering, how come? Or why?
I do believe in fate. So are these opportunities just trying to make me see something? But I’m really not meant for them? Or is there something better for me? Hmmm… really makes me think.
Anyway, although, it does make me think about things and myself, I do not allow it to bother me that much. Hey, the show must go on right?
ANYWAYYYYY, the dress was a gift. I’ve been meaning to wear it but I couldn’t find the right occassion up until yesterday. 🙂 love it 🙂

Last weekend was a whirlwind! Wore this last Saturday. My day started with a meeting then work (bought stuff at the mall), then had a date with Johnny Depp *insert drool here* and then ended the night with an all-out videoke night and a good talk with a very good friend.
I have posted this already more than 2 months ago. But well, it such a pretty dress that it deserves a 2nd post and an all new look.
Gosh, I don’t know where to start!
For one, i think my morning meeting went fairly good. I just hope I get a call back.
The afternoon was much more fun! Elyoo and I watched Public Enemies *insert drool here, again*. Story wasn’t much but all the Johnny Depp *drool once more* made up for it! WATCH IT WATCH IT WATCH IT!. I now want a 30’s inspired ensemble.
The videoke night was sooo much fun as well! I love the songs! hahahaha! From Bohemian Rhapsody and What’s Up. Hahahahahaha! Really enjoyed this day! 🙂
As for this dress, it really is one of my favorite dresses! I just love how adding a couple of things or two would change the entire look. Can I safely say 50’s inspired? Not really sure on the era of this one. I think tights were more of an 80’s trend. Hmm.. what do you think? Thoughts? Anyone?
That was my saturday fun and really good. I think it’s all good now. Yep. It’s all good now.
